Sardines and a Loveseat.

Hello my fine readers! Today has been the purrfect temperature for me, a nice 89 Degress Fahrenheit. Yesterday my Housefolk magically arrived with new furniture for me; a couch, chair and, my favorite, the loveseat. It’s soft and comfy, seats two humans (seats one cat), and is my favorite piece of furniture in the house. My Mommy Housefolk wasn’t very happy when she learned I had drooled into the cushion cover – and possibly into the cushion – but it was worth it.

The second best part of today was the treat of these small fish my Housefolk call “sardines.” I call them “pure yummyness!” My Daddy Housefolk bought them for himself, but when I smelled the wonderful smell of fish from across the house, I had to investigate. Turned out my nose truly knows, as I got bits of the yummy fish as a mid-day snack! Oh, I do hope my Daddy Housefolk has more for tomorrow.

Sorry there are no pictures, but my Housefolk say they were too busy with other things to take pictures. I will update the post as soon as possible once they take pictures of me enjoying my loveseat and sardine bits (valuable information for other felines).

Be seeing you,

-Midnight

My Volunteer Job

Hello everyone! Recently, on the weekends, I’ve been volunteering at a small petting-zoo with tropical birds and other creatures. It’s a cool experience as a visitor, but as a volunteer you get to see a bit behind the scenes.

It can get busy with excited parents and children!

My favorite part of volunteering has to be the reptiles. I loved showing off the bearded dragons, ball pythons, and corn snakes. Sadly, not too many people are big fans of scaly animals, so they mostly stick to cuddling rabbits, birds, and guinea pigs.

“Give me your tips!”

It’s a great experience working there, learning about the animals. However, I don’t know if the volunteers are even going to be volunteering anymore. There were some changes with animal management, and we don’t know the new volunteer schedule (if there is one). I hope I can continue working there. I love the experience. Besides, even if they dismiss the volunteers, I can still go there to visit.

We shall see what happens, and I will let ya know.

We’re Back!

Sorry everybody! No cat or human has posted here in a very long time, and we all feel it’s time to revive this blog. Here’s a new post from Midnight, who is very happy to have an excuse to sit on the keyboard again:

Hello feline, canine, and human friends! I haven’t had my paws on the keyboard for a while, and I’m glad to be back at blogging. Summer has been warm, but I’ve been enjoying it. Roasting in the sun-bathed window every afternoon has been quite nice, I must say.

My Housefolk must stop taking pictures of me in my sleep… but even I think I’m awful cute.

Today I had a little bit on stomach-ache, and I’m still getting over it. I am feeling much better, however, and by tomorrow it’ll be all gone.

Whoopsie! I had paused my writing to chase something fun looking in Kit Housefolk’s room and knocked a bunch of things over – My bad! I’ll probably do it again, knowing how much of a klutz I am. I am an excellent huntress.

My Kit Housefolk has made toys for me, and boy are they fun! With the additions to my store-bought & homemade toys, I’ve been playing a lot more. I also noticed my Housefolk are cutting back my treat consumption… I miss the treats, but I have slimmed down a touch.

Thank you for reading, but I must go to nap now. I must have energy for my 3 a.m exercise routine (running around the house into random rooms and meowing before jumping everywhere).

Be seeing you,
