A Hello From Cookie

My limbs disappeared into my fluff.

I’m Cookie, as the “Twolegs” (as Shadow calls my new humans) have dubbed me. I live in this weird hole in the top of their nest. The Twolegs are not allowed to touch me, but they are allowed to come near me to feed me.

My little white paws are extra cute.

 

 

I am so thankful they are around. Without them I might have starved…

I try not to focus on the negative. Although it’s hard when a small, black, plump she-cat yells at you for existing every day. Honestly, I don’t know what her problem is. All I want is a place to stay and some food. It is fun to taunt her sometimes, but once when the big Twoleg came out to feed me, she got out and nearly scratched me to pieces! Thankfully, I can run faster than her and got away as the Twolegs grabbed her. Shadow told me this place would be safe, but that she-cat is awful fierce for a kittypet.

I would ask her what her name is, but I’m too scared of her. I hear the Twolegs call her Midnight and she does not want new friends. I think she hates me just for being here, at this nest. At least the Twolegs stand up for me and try to protect me.

I have to go. The she-cat is yowling at me. I must leap up into my roof-hole again.

This adorable fluffernugget stray has been around for years. I even did a blog post about her back in June 2017 called A Different Cat Outside! One day a few months ago, Shadow showed up for food… with her. She was rubbing up against him lovingly, so much that he almost got knocked over. He might look like a tough killer, and he is, but Mr. Shadow has another side to him too.

Shadow is actually a gentleman-cat and shared his food with her. He must be secure that he can just ask us for more food. Not sure who was feeding her before, but now she hangs out in our yard all the time. Cookie sleeps up in our crawl space of our house and squeezes through the tiniest little hole to get in.

Midnight, our self declared “only child” who doesn’t want any cat friends.

Midnight hates her more than anything. She hates all other humans and cats. Wish they could be friends. Cookie is very sweet and a good hunter. She’s already killed two rats. You can’t pet her, but she looks like she would be wonderful to pet with all that fluff. Out of our three cats, Cookie is the only one that really won’t let anyone pet her, even fierce killer Shadow enjoys two pets on the head from his mommies, and Midnight needs constant petting and love. But, Cookie is a nice addition and she gets along with Shadow (at least). She’s very cheerful and beyond cute.
